I've no complaint. I do, however, caution anyone from purchasing the color Cherry Smash expecting it to work over black polish as advertised http://digg.com/linktubes

Unlike other reviews, I've had no problem with this product crackling. I apply a clear base coat, nail color, and crackle...then topcoat after the crackle has dried. I love the gold and silver colors...they look nice over my darker polishes and I've no complaint. I do, however, caution anyone from purchasing the color Cherry Smash expecting it to work over black polish as advertised. I would go as far as to say false advertising. It does NOT read red. It reads a flat dark burgandy poopy color brown...you can't even SEE it other than to see that your nails look awful. Had high hopes of awesomeness. I played around with it for several polishings, trying to adjust the amount of crackle etc, with no good result. Very, very disappointed in the advertising and research team that dreamed this one up. Maybe it will work on a yellow or very light polish...they never should have advertised this on black polish.

Very good! I personally lllooovvvveeeee crackle, if it's not working out for you you are probably polishing over the crackle like you do with normal polish. I recommend applying 3 coats, one in the middle and 1 on each side. Blow on it to make it crack faster. Have fun and good luck!

Bought Silver & Gold Crackle. Tried the silver, but very disappointed, did not get crackle effect when applied to multiple different Sally Hansen nail colors (painted each toenail a different color) Just looks likes a silver topcoat. I like Sally Hansen Nail polishes & Topcoats but can not recommend the Crackle line at all. OPI has a crackle line which I will try next. I am not fond of OPI nail Polishes as I find I have to apply more coats so my natural nail color does not show through but willing to spend extra dollars if their crackle works.

Can't get it to crackle. I have it in distressed denium.

I bought this red & glow in the dark blue crackle and it doesn't crackle at all , very disappointed

I have this in Fuchsia Shock and really like it. I like doing a clear base coat instead of a color and then adding this. Its a simple look but still adds some flair to your style. It crackles great for me!

Does not crackle, just looks very glittery :( disappointing.

I love it! Where can I order it and what is the current price?

I tried two different times with the fractured foil and got no crackle. :( I tried a thicker coat and a thin coat but only got something that looked like heavy glitter.

Very nixe parfume,
the loan to buy it :)

Awesome! So worth the money, if you follow the instructions and have the patience to let the bottom color dry. The crackle only takes a minuet to start working, I love the out come I've had!

I personally was really excited about this polish and bought four darth vader quotes different shades.I understand your frustration because when I first started using the crackle it took some getting used to. What I have found is two things said above make using this new product successful.

Hi misslittle. I understand your frustration because when I first started using the crackle it took some getting used to. What I have found is two things make using this new product successful.
1. Make sure that your base polish is completely dry before adding crackle coating. So if you are in a rush use your simple nail polish because drying is key to success for this product.
2. Use a very light hand when applying the crackle; this is how to get the best crackle look. Then be sure to use a clear top coating when crackle is dry. The crackle does not take that long to dry though. But make sure to use a clear top coat to get that shiny gloss and better appearance.

Received vintage violet as a Christmas gift and it works great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I made the mistake of applying this stuff to bare nails and the results were, predictably, disastrous! About as successful as tying to find a free way to perform a Reverse Cell Phone Lookup on unknown cell phone calls.

5

LOVE this! Got this in Antiqued Gold and it is amazing. ***TIPS: Let your base coat dry COMPLETELY and if you want cracks like the picture apply a THIN coat and after it drys cover in a clear top coat. You can use ANY brand/shade of base coat you want and it still crackles awesome!

Okay, so I'm reading all of these reviews and they all have mixed opinions. I personally was really excited about this polish and bought four different shades. After trying multiple times I don't understand what I'm going wrong. It's just not working for me and I'm really disappointed. I'm hoping that it's something that I'm doing, and that it's not just the polish. Any advice?

I agree with sassy74, the product was awful and very disappointing. I tried the Fractured Foil and Antiqued Gold. Was hoping to have some fun with my nails over the holidays. I did exactly as the instructions stated and neither of the products worked. I got "one" crack on my thumbnail from the gold and the silver/foil did absolutely nothing. I too paid $7.99 and was really upset. I expect to pay that for OPI products but not SH. But it's a quality name brand or so I thought so I tried it. Big mistake. At least I'm only out $16! I couldn't get my money back either. Very upsetting.

5

@sassy74- You must not be doing it right because Crackle is awesome. Make sure you're letting your base coat dry and then don't apply too much Crackle and it should be amazing.

Don't you recognize that it is the best time to receive the loans, which can make you dreams real.

This stuff really sucks!!!!! I bought 5 different colors for my daughters. Thats 5 each. I have 3 daughters and they tried using it and it would not work. So I tried using it and I could not get it to work either. I am really upset about the quality of this product, I paid $8 a bottle for this polish for Christmas gifts and the store wont let me return them. Not even the unopened ones. So spent $150 on nail polish thats the cost with tax and none of it works. Dont try this product. My 13 year old wanted to try the peel and stick nail polish but now I am wary of trying any more of these products. I have been a long time Sh consumer and now I am very dissappointed.

5

6 letters for S.H. L.O.V.E. I.T!!!!

I love it.I have all 8 shades and pretty much all sally hansen nail polish so BUY SH!!!!!

i dont know if i am doing it right if i am i dont like it .. it looks like crap

5

This is SO GOOD! And really easy to use! It looks just like on the ad. Wearing Hot Pink (Fuchsia Shock) over white base coat. Looks great.

TERRIBLE!!! Create account just to share with others this nail polish is COMPLETE waste of money! I bought the silver/foil color, and Trust me, WAAAY better off buying sparkling/shimmer nail polish. Was so excited to try this product, but after wasting almost $8, came to very sad realization that this product is complete CRAP. :(

Love this product - am wearing the black on white at the moment and just looks great - can't wait to buy some other colours to try as well

5

I luv it! I used a cheap brand white for my base coat (be sure to let dry some) and then applied a thin crackle of vintage violet! I find that If I want the thin crackled look I need to not have a lot of crackle on my application brush and to make one pass up the center of the nail and work my way to either side from the center, remember that u already have a base coat so there is no need to have a massive ammt of crackle paint on ur brush when u apply!!

1

Yuk. No crackle, just streaking like a cheap paint. Will be returning it to the store.

If I could leave 2.5 stars I would. I wish you could use this and get the same effects with other brands of nail polish. I used the Antiqued Gold crackle on Sally Hansen nail color and it worked GREAT. However, when I use it with the "pure ice" brand from Wal-Mart it does not work as well. It barely crackles and I put on a thin coat. I highly recommend this crackle polish if you have a large Sally Hansen collection or if you want to spend the money it. Otherwise, forget it.

Worst product ever from Sally Hansen!!! DID NOT WORK!!!! I followed all the instructions and didn't turn out like they advertised or even at all!!! It just covered the original nail polish. I do own a similar product NOT from Sally Hansen and it works perfectly. I do not recommend this product and it is a COMPLETE waste of money and time.

5

I was really happy to come across the Sally Hansen crackle because all my friends were commenting on how beautiful they looked over my normal nail polish!! With over 8 shades to choose from (bought a white and black) I am really happy that I bought it!! I hope that more colors will be introduced once they become popular as we would really like to do more experimentation with them!! They dry out very fast too!! Has any tried ProExtensions for hair extensions? Any reviews about it would be highly appreciated.

How to buy?

i just want to say that i love the crackle overcoat that you came out with . i just cant find the red anywere . i love it i want red with green for christmas. i tell everyone about it .they ask were did i get my nails done i say sally hansen ty love it

4

I bought the black crackle and was extremely pleased with it. I used a thicker white nail color (not sally hansen brand) underneath with the black on top. I was so happy with it that I went back and purchased the white crackle. I'm not nearly as pleased with the white crackle: it seems thick and goopy and I have a hard time finding the balance between it being too thick and not crackling and it being too thin and looking less than desirable. I know to apply a thin coat, as with the black. I'm wondering- does it make a difference the kind of nail polish you use underneath? With the white I've only used Sally Hansen, but it doesn't seem to work look right (I've used both instant dry and x-tra hard) I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I love this product. I bought the xtreme wear in blue and the silver crackle. Everyone tells me they look like I had them professionally done. The base nail polish does not need to be completely dry before putting on the crackle. Just not gooey wet. Only do 3 thin swipes of the crackle. I also did gold crackle over a burgandy base nail color and I did the purple crackle over a hot pink base color. Dramatic effects each time.Whom ever says this product is a complete wast of their time does not know what they are doing or were drunk at the time they used it.

1

I was thoroughly disappointed with this product. I purchased the red overcoat and a black base coat. It looks like someone dripped red candle wax on top of my nails. This product was a COMPLETE waste of money.

5

I love, love, love this new nail art! On my friend's suggestion, I used sparkly gold under-coat & the cherry crackle on top for a vacation to Cabo. Thankfully, she'd used it before & admonished me to only do 3 swipes of the crackle on each nail for maximum effect. You tend to want to coat the nail too much, then it won't crackle as much. You also hafta let the bottom coat dry well & just be patient. The effect is WELL worth it! A quick dry, clear top coat had my nails looking great during air travel, snorkeling, swimming & many showers! No chips & b/c of the crackle, even on the last day, when otherwise my manicure would look old & icky, my red crackle nails still looked great! I just took that first manicure off (after 9 days) and bought sparkly silver & cherry crackle for the upcoming holidays. So pretty! Thank you Sally Hansen for creating another way for me to look beautiful! Also, the hounstooth nail 'sticker' is gorgeous! I'll be looking for expanded choices in the future! Cool product!

Awesome

5

I bought this crackle polish today in Fractured Foil! I was so excited I just had to do my nails in my lunch break! It took a little while to get the hang of it so I have one hand that looks a little ordinary but I had absolute success on the other hand! I haven't seen many crackle polishes around and the only one I know of is $30 so this one was a bargain at $10! I will be buying every colour! So Happy!

i've never tried this nail polish but i would love to if they are affordable
thanks

I absolutly love this! It is amazing, at first it looks a little funny untill you get it to where you know how much to put on to where it looks good. great product!!!!

5

I have the crackle in fractured foil and I LOVE IT! So far I've only used it over purple a couple times and it looks AWESOME, when I get the extra money I will be investing in the fusia and the violet. It takes a couple times to get it right but practice makes perfect, I am very pleased with this product.

I just want to say...I love all Sally Hansen nail polishes...I have never spent 7 bucks on a polish before until now...I AM VERY DISAPOINTED!!!! This crackle I bought in Fractured foil..it really sucks!! very minimal effect what so ever..I have been using the AVON Crackle in black and it is awesome..plus, costs less ..5 bucks..Just sayin!!

I had bought another brand of "Crackle" in black and put over Orange for Halloween and it worked great and I fell in love with the effect. I recently bought 2 bottles of Sally Hansen Crackle in Antique Gold and Antique Foil. Neither bottle gave me the effect that I was expecting. I couldn't see the base color at all under the Crackle. I rolled each bottle well to make sure it was mixed well. I tried thin and thick coats and neither worked. Am I doing something wrong? I am a devout Sally Hansen use. I have used your products for years and truly love it. Your products have helped me get the strongest nails and I am finally proud of my nails and claim it is due to several of your products. I just don't know what to do to get the Crackle to work. Thank you.

5

I love this polish!!! I find it works better if you put a clear top coat over your base color, let it dry and then use the crackle polish with a thick top coat.

2

Did not leave affect. :/

2

Bought both the while and gold colors. Can't yet master them but am sure I will.

JUST WANT TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT THEY'RE ON SALE AT WALGREENS:Buy 1 / get 1 50% off.

This also includes the 'Salon Effects'.

4

Very VERY cool effect. The only critique I would have is that if you are using a dark base coat the crackle top coat might become darker and not be as bright as is advertized. I used Cherry Smash with a black undercoat and the red turned into a very dark bloody color, which was cool for halloween but not the color I was expecting. But I'm sure if you use a light base coat it will come out better.

5

That is really cool. i want some!

I got a couple of these (Fractured Foil and Ink Splatter) for my b-day, LOVE THEM!!! I have a few nail polishes I don't wear because the colors are iffy, but the Crackle makes wearable.

5

I've got this product and it worked just great, if you had a different outcome its because you dont know how to use it :P !!!

5

I just bought this today in Ink Splatter (black) And I tried it over Xtreme Wear Cherry Red. I love it! I watched the video & followed the directions & it looks so amazing!

5

Works great. SHAKE before you use it! And be sure you use it over another coat of polish (use a clear coat if you dont want a base color) to get the best crackle effect. It's like it sticks too well to bare nails to crackle right. A thicker layer will give you the best "pro" crackle look. :)

Just purchased the crackle, I am very disappointed followed all directions, even had someone else try it and it did not work at all ... I had previously purchased one from Avon which was cheaper and worked great!!! so I figured i would try this brand but it failed me very disappointing definitely sticking to Avon for this effect ....

5

This is the best crackle I've seen or used. Anybody who says it doesn't work probably doesn't know how to use it well enough (It usually takes practice for beginners) I am in love. I used to NEVER paint my nails, but now I do all the time w/ crackle.

KaY kAy's picture
1

I bought 2 of these (purple and silver) and the first times I put them on, even the thin layers looked thick and clumpy. I wasn't pleased with the outcome. Hopefully they'll fix the formula.

Oh and just an added FYI Thick layer gives you fewer , deeper cracks, and a Thin gives you more, shallow cracks. If you use Insta-Dri I would suggest using just 1 layer of base coat. It could be just me but Insta-Dri goes on pretty thick in one coat as is :)

4

I read the bottle where it said "add a thin or thick coat (depending on desired effect)" and the question in my mind was "What does either do." After spending $7 on the bottle I figured I would check to see since that is WAY more than I would normally spend on nail polish lol. I'm glad I did, and I did watch the video. It worked the first time, and I am having fun watching the cracks appear as it dries. I am sad that it does look so dull with out a top coat. I guess I will have to buy a bottle of that later this week... (the display said to apply a top coat but I was so tired I just wanted to go home...)

I used mine ontop of Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri nail color. It worked great! So far I have done Vintage Violet crackle over Silver Sweep Insta-Dri, next I will try it over Co-Bolt Blue Insta-Dri.

Don't give up, just do one pass over the nail when using the Crackle, that is what I did and it worked the first time!

Just purchased the crackle in "Snow Blast" and I am not happy with it. It won't crackle at all. I've tried thin and thick layers, a non sally color under and a sally color under. It doesn't do anything but smear and look/smell awful. Def NOT worth the $8 I paid for it. Sure wish i would've read online reviews before purchasing. Now I'm stuck with a bottle of polish I can't use. I got better results from the AVON brand of black crackle.

4

I brought the Antique Gold color and I love it I used over the Black Platinum from the Complete Salon Manicure line and I love it!

5

I did white sally and then black crackle...and I love it!!!!!

I bought the Fractured Foil and it did not crackle. I tried it twice, a thin layer and a thick. The thin layer you could barely see because it was almost transparent and the thick layer didnt crackle. Not worth $8 a bottle.

2

i found that it smelled kinda bad and it didnt go away it has now been an hour and my nails still smell bad

3

I bought the black today to try. I agree with some of the others: you have to use a little finesse with this stuff. Don't try to coat the whole nail. I kind of paint a few odd streaks over about 2/3 of my nail in a very thin coating. Wait about 45 seconds for it to dry and finish crackling. If you want more, then repeat with another stripe or two. It might take a few layers to get it ideal. Also, be sure to have a good topcoat on hand, since the stuff dries matte. A thickish coat or two will also help fill the crack ridges and make it look a bit better. Overall, I really like it :)

1

Tried the pink tonight. My undercoat was a silver sparkle. Applied what I thought was a thin coat of the pink crackle and it didn't crackle. What a waste! It's expensive too. Not worth the money.

3

I used the silver crackle with decent results. My first try at it looked okay, but practice makes perfect. The second time was better (blue under the silver) and it looked great!

It definitely does work. It takes some playing to get used to how much to put on and how to put it on. It starts to crackle and dry very quickly. Crackle nail polish is not going to be totally smooth, no matter who makes it. If you want it to feel less clumpy, use a lighter layer.

4

Worked really well and looked really good. It did take a few tried to get it not so gobby - I find I have to shake it a lot and keep it warm.

2

I went to my cousins house and she put OPI's crackle on my nails and i loved it. Saw sally hansen had a cheaper version with coupon from a supermarket 4.99 so I decided to try it. It was too thick, lumpy and didnt do hardly anything noticeable. I tried to water it down with remover but stil. garbage. Will buy OPI...better value for your money. Looks like you went to a salon

I will not be watsing my money on the nail polsih no more because it does not work and so this is what I tell u dont waste ur money on this nail polish and it is clumpy and and I am dissappointment because it did not work and will not waste my money on it no more WASTE OF MONEY

"DO NOT EVER WASTE UR TYME OR MONEY'' on SALLY HANSEN ~BLACK INK SPLATTER~ IT'S HORRIBLE VERY CLUMPY AND CATCHES ON EVERTHING!!! BUY OPI IT'S AMAZ~N SAME PRICE

5

Love the product! Bought a lot of it in USA, when I was on vacation. Know Sally Hansen from Denmark, but cannot find all the products in our stores. Can anyone tell me where to buy it online? Or in a store in Denmark?

5

I cant belive I paid 6.99 for this. But I had to try it. It's awesaome !! I got black. I put it on over Red. It drys & cracks quickly. Although I didnt hear it crack, it looks amazing !!!

sugarmagnolia i total agree with you. i wasted my money and want to return it as well. I love all the other Sally Hansen nail polishes too. I guess we dont know how to put nail polish on. It was all clumpy and didnt even crackle. I was really excited to put it on. Major disappointment. Dont buy it!!!!

5

Honestly, I have to say to "sugarmagnolia" you are a complete idiot. This nail polish is amazing all my friends and i use it and LOVE it, so apparently you are doing something wrong. Love the product, getting it in every color for my birthday! :)

5

Easy to use and very cute :)

MY DAUGHTERS JUST GOT IT LOVE IT JUST HAVE TO REMEMBER TO ONLY DO ONE COAT OF THE CRACKLE OR IW MIGHT NOT WORK

4

I love this and i have not had any problems with it, just have to play with the colors and need two contrasting colors i have found for the most part. I have it it in white, black, pink and silver,!

I spent about $8.99 on this product in Vintage Violet and it was a waste of money. It does not crackle, it clumps, doesn't dry and in my opinion was a poor knock off of the OPI crackle. I did everything according to directions and tried the product more than once on more than one type of Sally Hansen polish. It made my nails look terrible, I can't see how anyone would be pleased with this product. I am wondering how I can get a refund as I am completely dissatisfied with this product. I love Sally Hansen but don't waste your money on the crackle.

4

I honestly don't see what all the fuss it about. It worked great for me. I bought the ink splatter and it looks just like all of the pictures i've seen in the advertisements. Maybe people aren't letting their nails dry enough before applying or they are painting on double coats of the product. Whether i use a thick or thin layer, the crackle affect looks really cool every time!

I LOVE this Crackle polish I love the Black , Fuchsia & blue . I usually wear black polish & the fuchsia & blue look amazing over it & I wore the black over blue polish I love it . I'm now wearing white polish with
the black crackle over it . I absolutely love it !!

I bought the 02Vintage Violet and wasted my money. I paid $6.99 for something that doesnt even work. At first it was clump so I shook it (read online that helps) then I thought it would work but It didn't.

I loved it!! it was so pretty and neat! it made my nails look so amazing! it lasted for 2 whole weeks!!! but I do notice if you use dark colors like purple then black crackle it makes it look dark. even if the purple is very very light!

1

As a frequent buyer of Sally nail color, among other products, I was excited to see the Crackle polish the other day. I bought the Violet Crackle and applied it over a dark grey polish. I'm very disappointed in the results. You cannot see the crackle effect. If you look close, it looks clumpy as if I used an old, cheap polish. Very disappointed, especially due to the cost of the bottle.

1

Horrible polish. I saw this and bought it in white along with a bottle of Insta-Dry Fushia. The crackle looked and worked nothing like it should have. It even took some of the base color off as I put the white on and ended up getting mixed into the bottle before I realized what it did. Biggest waste of $6 I've ever made and the company should have to refund everyone for making such a terrible product. Maybe the other colors work better but white should definitely be pulled and I'm not buying another one to find out.

Love the Crackle. I see a lot of complaints about it and there is a trick I have learned. Normally, when painting your nails, people start from the middle of their nail and paint out. With Crackle, it works best if you start from left or right and work your way across. The trick is getting the thickness down. If you do it too thick, it doesn't crackle. If you do it too thin, it will hardly show up. The red is the worst though, don't recommend buying that color at all.

1

Hate this...I love Sally Hansen products so when i saw they had crackle I was excited. Went home to use it (i got red) it wouldn't show up on black or gray and not even on silver. It barely crackles on clear coat as well. I've used other brands of the crackle nail polish and they work so much better.

5

Love the crackle...It works so well when put on properly and the effect is nice...I get alot of nice comments on my nails. I have every color and hope yall come out with more...also just finished getting all the colors of the HD and the Extreme...starting on getting all the Salon complete. I love your product makes my love for doing nails extreme..

3

i have to say, I like this stuff. It looks really cool if you get the hang of it. I applied my base color, let it dry for about a minute. Then i made sure to coat the brush, but not overcoat it. It needs only a small layer and i noticed it helps if you do not overcoat r double coat. i got Fuchsia shock and it looks great over black, ill practice more!

TERRIBLE PRODUCT! So disappointed. I followed the directions perfectly, FOUR TIMES, and each time it looked awful. It looks like cheap pink nailpolish.

I recently saw someone with Crackle. Liking it - I bought! I have tried FOUR times to get mine to "crackle". It doesn't do! Does that mean product is bad or what? I'm highly disappointed.

i thought maybe my bottle of Cherry Smash was just a bad batch, but over a month later at a different store/town, i tested before deciding to buy. same result, crackle color was extremely sheer, barely able to see it over the base color.

Worst product I have bought, Would not recommend to anyone!! Why put this on the market it is a horrible waste of money!! Clumps and peels right off!!

Hmmm.... first critique ever from me... Snow Blast is great, but Cherry Smash is WAAAY too transparent to be of any use.

I love this polish the first time I used it. It went on smooth and the crackle design looked great. The second time I used it, the polish just started getting clumpy and it didn't crackle as much. Please improve this product!!! I really loved it the first time. I just wish it didn't get all clumpy, that way I can keep using it!

I have two of the shades. Fuchsia Shock, and Distressed Denim. They both work great. I get the whole "I just came from the salon" look. My nails are really pretty and I can't wait to get more of this great product. If it doesn't work for some people, then they probably didn't shake the bottle, or they applied to much or to little. Also, if you have a clunky first coat of regular nail polish, then crackle doesn't work as well. I got mine at CVS Pharmacy for seven dollars. A great product! Buy it!

2

My aunt and I were browsing around until we saw this. We both loved the crackle style...and that it was less than the OPI version(which i have). Now i think i know why it's cheaper. We bought the Distressed Denim and the Cherry Smash. When i had seen both colors in the bottle...they were SO PRETTY! But just like the OPI version...a coat of clear makes the color really pop. Now the reason why i gave this 2 stars is because it took FOREVER TO GET THE CRAKLE EFFECT TO ACTUALLY LOOK GOOD. If you put too little, it looks as if you didn't put enough paint on the brush and looks tacky. And if you put more to see if it would work, the crakle WON'T WORK. It took me once 4 TIMES to get it to look decent enough.

worst nail polish ever! do NOT waste your time, it looks absolutley terrible and it becomes intantly goopy and thick. Worst purchase ever.... very disappointing, sally hansen!

First time to try them

i love the crackle but i have only had it 2 weeks (black) and it is clumping up in the bottle so bad i dont know if i will get another use out of it. any suggestions?

I was hoping to be able to purchase some of your products online. I live in an rural area and all the stores I have went to have sold out of yout crackle top coat.

I purchased the black Crackle! It was fun at first! The second time I used it I had a hard time getting it to spread evenly. It seemed to have thickened on its own! I know the lid was on tight, I am not sure what happened! I shook it & everything it was still thick! I will be trying out the OPI version of shatter this weekend to see if they have worked the bugs out of theirs!
For the cost, I will not be buying anymore until the bug is fixed, unless the price goes down!

This nail polish is awesome. Love it!! You have to be patient with it & apply a thin coat to get the full effect of the "CRACKLE". I see all the bad reviews on here. Maybe it's because your not putting it on right. I also have noticed that you really have to shake up the bottle real good!! I have 6 out of the 8. I have tried every color combination & there all great. My two boys even get into finding the right color to go with the Crackles. I've had most of the bottles for well over a month & they are still like brand new. Just have to shake it up a little more than regular nail polish. I wear nothing but the crackle now!!! Thanks Sally Hansen!!!! Great Job!!!!!!! :))<3

4

I have 7 of the 8 Crackle colors & have had lots of fun with this product. It takes a little practice to put an even thin to med coat on but it's worth the effort. I have natural nails & have problems finding good nail polish that stays on w/out peeling or cracking within days but I use a SH base, 2 coats of SH Xtreme color, 1 coat of Crackle & then a top coat & can make it last 7-9 days without cracking or peeling & because of the texture if a tiny scratch or flaw happens, you can't tell!! People are always commenting on my nails. My favorite combos so far have been black Crackle over white, Navy Crackle over a light bright green, Silver Crackle over lavender & Hot Pink Crackle over silver. The only reason I deducted a star was because I think after a few uses the polish will be 'aged' & thicken up, which will make it harder to put on appropriately. My next combo is going to be red Crackle over pale Cement.

1

I just bought the Fuschia Shock crackle polish, applied it over some Sally Hansen nail polish, and I'm really unhappy with the results. The nail polish congealed and lumped together even in between coating each nail. A thin coat of the polish looks horrible over a base coat, and a thick coat is impossible to put on evenly. I've always been a fan of Sally Hansen products, but this was a real disappointment.

Hello all! I am writing this review to say that at first the crackle nail polish (i got mine in the white) was really nice and added that flare to my nails...some say it was meant for Halloween...however I didn't mind. Recently i brought out the only color of crackle i have which is the white i mentioned and it was a mess.. I'm not sure what happened to it in the month that i used it last but it changed its texture, its really thick and gooey and doesn't go on that well. And guess what..it doesn't crackle! I'm not sure what to think of this product now. I've also had a problem with another type of Sally Hanson polish which i have put a review in about..the complete salon manicure.. doesn't dry quick enough..took over an hr to dry and just when i thought it was..it smeared...I hope some of you are having better luck and with what I see..doesnt seem like many...take care!

The Crackle Ink Splatter is wonderful! I used it, and it looks just like the picture! It looks good with pink too! The only bad thing that I have to say about is that if you put it on a little too thick, it looks like a cow. But, even then, it's not that bad! It's a very good price and I love it!

1

I bought vintage violet and i figured if it works it would be great because it wasn't too expensive. But it didn't work at all! IT WAS TERRIBLE!!! It didn't crackle at all. IT looked like cheap purple nail polish. Do NOT buy this product it is a waste of money. Trust me spend the extra couple dollars and buy OPI shatter.

1

sorry for the typos in the last review....can I blame it on the awfulness of this product.

1

This product was AWFUL! Truly to the point I want my money back! I have mentioned to everyone I know (in real life) and everyone I'm friends with on FaceBook.

t clumps almost the before you get the first swipe on your nail. It dries so quickly that you can't get your whole nail done....it not like I take minutes to do a nail...not even 1 min. per nail. Then it is blotchy and instead of having a cool effect, it looks like you are lazy and have not done your nails in the last 4 months.

Bottom line...save your money. It's not worth even the energy and time it took to write this comment!

I would love to own these but I can't not find them in my area... I was wondering is there away I can buy these from online?

Sally Hansen is coming out with fabulous products this year!!! Started with the Salon Effects strips, now the crackle! Bought a bottle of the competition, too, but for half the price of OPI, I got two bottles of excellent Sally Hansen crackle. I don't know why I even bother trying other brands anymore... I'm always running back to Sally!

5

It works great. I have snow blast, distressed denim, and vintage violet. The only thing is, you need to apply only a thin amount, because of u do too much, it won't crackle.

I don't know why people keep saying that it doesn't work! It works perfectly! I bought the Antiqued Gold and Cherry Smash yesterday. I applied one fair coat of Antiqued Gold over one fair coat of The Real Teal Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color. It came out perfect! I think that people are putting on too much when they apply. I haven't tried Cherry Smash yet, but when I do I'll post a review:) xoxo,,

After trying out the OPI version of this nail polish (Shatter) I absolutely loved the effect. Tonight while out at the mall I noticed that they had the Sally Hansen version Crackle on sale for less than $6.00, so of course I grabbed a few bottles in different colours. After trying it out at home I have to say that I was extremely disappointed with this version and removed my nail polish immediately after applying it. The polish is too watery and transparent. If you apply more than one coat I found it did not give the full crackle effect as I only had one line through it on some of the nails.

I am going to see if I can return this product. I would definitely recommend the OPI Shatter to anyone who was disappointed or would like to try getting this effect on their nails.

I purchased the Crackle Overcoat in Fractured Foil and Cherry Smash. Overall, I am pretty pleased with the crackle effect presented by the overcoat, but I would recommend the Fractured Foil over Cherry Smash. Both overcoats go on much thinner than crackle or shatter polishes by leading competitors, such as OPI or China Glaze, but the thin coat allows for a better, more crackled design, where as the thicker overcoats offered by the other brands do not crackle quite as much. The Fractured Foil basically looks just like how it is presented in advertisement, but the Cherry Smash does not hold up the same color presence. When applied over a white or pearl polish, Cherry Smash comes out bright orange, but a relatively attractive orange.

DO NOT BY THE CRACKLE OVERCOAT!!! IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE! SAVE UR $6! I BOUGHT SNOW BLAST AND IT JUST LOOKS LIKE I PUT WHITE OUT ON MY NAILS!

@ Mvp2018 ~ I purchased the product at Walgreens.

I must say that I am rather disappointed with the Sally Hansen Crackle nail polish. I purchased the Vintage Violet and applied it over a light pink for contrast. Each nail looks pretty much the same. There is a sort of stripe up the middle of each nail, and the patterns are very similar on each nail. It doesn't look as good as it does in advertisements. I LOVE Sally Hansen Hard as Nails polish because it stays on good and doesn't chip easily. I do not, however, care for the more expensive Sally Hansen nail polishes, such as the Crackle and the quick drying types that cost more. I hope that the company listens to critique and brings their newer products up to the quality of their Hard as Nails.

1

I bought 2 bottles of this white and vintage violet. I was so disappointed, I was expecting way better results meaning its a Sally Hansen product plus the high price but with using it more than once with both colors I do not like this at all so now I have 16 dollar paper weights on my vanity.

Can I buys this here... Online.. I can not find it ANYWHERE!!!????

1

I purchased 2 bottles..pricey..but thought the product would live up to its name. It has not!!!! Tried several times according to directions..thin coat and a thick coat. DOES NOT CRACKLE AS PICTURED!! Very disappointed. Was looking forward to buying a darker color for Fall ..but will not.

5

i bought the purple blue red white and silver for a reasonable price. others like this cost more but do the same thing. This is unique, the fact that it doesn't al crackle the same makes it more unique and cool looking in my opinion. Can't find them in the shopper's store where i bought the first few, but for 3 dollars more there the nicole stuff...

I LOVE THIS NAILPOLISH!!!!!!!!

OPI's crackle is more expensive and maybe a little bit better, but I have the purple sally hansen and I love it! you just have to be patient with crackles because they dont always crackle alot or how you want them to

Bought 3 of them and returned them same day! Decided to try on sale at rite aid buy one get one half off had pink, silver and black. I saw online demo and didn't really crack. Definitely shouldn't be compared to other shatters pricey and not prductive.

5

This stuff is great! We now have 4 colors. I am now wearing the Antiqued Gold on top of a burgundy color nail polish. I have had many nice comments about my nails saying they look professional. I have had it on for a week now and no chips. Awesome stuff! Can't wait to try the other colors.

I had bought the OPI version of this before buying the crakcle and boy am I sorry! Sally's Crackle is sooooo much better than the overpriced OPI version! I have tried the black and blue so far and love them! I have the purple and need to get more colors! I have been using Sally Hansen products all my polish using life and love the quality and variety they offer! Keep up the great work!

5

it works great i bought two of them the other day, distressed demin and fuchsia shock and they turned out beautiful i put celeb city ( a silver polish by sally hansen ) underneath and I dont understand why people keep saying it doesnt work, because it looks great right now. You can find this product at shoppers drug mart :)

Where can we found those crackles overcoat?? I've checked in few pharmacy, with no result :(

2

Bought 3 of them, Snow Blast, Vintage Violet, and Fushia Shock. Snow Blast and Fushia Shock Crackle really well and are very close to the crackle affect of opi's shatter, but the vintage violet didn't crackle well at all. Whether you applied a thick or thin coat it just didn't crackle anywhere near as well as opi or even the fushia color of sally hansens. Also The Violet Color is so different from what you see looking at the bottle.

5

I love this stuff. It works just great. It's very hard to find. But it's worth the wait.

5

I'm really not sure why some people are having issues with this product. Some one I work with tried it and loved it even though she got the results one of these people are talking about..that cheep kinda messy kid looking nail polish effect. I didn't say anything cause she loved it..and I decided to try it. Cause I know you can get that effect from any nail polish if you don't apply it correctly. So I tried out the "Fractured Foil" over top of a black nail polish. It looked awesome..reminded me of that snake scale design. I added a top coat later, but it wasn't needed..it just made it look a little more shiny. So yea..Just wanted to say that for me, this was a awesome product, I plan on getting the "Fuchsia Shock" and "Ink Splatter" as well :) :)

Very unhappy with my purchase of Crackle Overcoat after getting home that is when I found out this was more than one step and at $7.00 dollars I was P O ed. because I did not have a TOP coat.ads need to show in a second are two just to show you ,you need several bottles not a happy camper on this end

I'm a big fan of Sally hansen product but I am disappointed with the crackle nail polish it did not come out at all looking good it looked to chunky even when I applied a very light coat it looked more of a mess then art and for the price I was expecting it to look a bit nicer and not like little kid nail polish. In my opinion I would save the 7$ it would cost you to buy crackle and just buy 2 xtreme wear nail polish by sally hansen which is a great product .

What other stores can I find these in, I am located in Western Kentucky. We are frantically looking everywhere! I have three daughters and a future daughter in law that is obsessed!!

Why am I not able to find this at the local walmarts in Kentucky?

5

I absolutely love it! I want to get all of the colors.

i went to walmart and they said this is the number one seller so we stoped at cvs tonight and i was lucky to find two the last two!! i was soo happy

3

I love the gold and silver crackle overcoat nail polishes but i also bought the blue crackle overcoat it is not as good as the other two i think it would work better if it was made with a little bit of a thicker consistency. Because it is thinner in consistency it is harder to make it crackle over the nail like i would like the blue to due, it's cracking is limited. Otherwise it is a fantastic product and i also would like to mention that i am a extreme fan of all of the sally hansen nail products and other products too. Thanks

I LOVE the unique look that you can achieve with this product. I currently have bright orange with the black crackle over it and I have gotten tons of compliments.

Everytime I go to Walgreens to buy some they are out, Can I buy it online?

5

I absolutely love this product that I have started buying all of them! Love the unique designs.

I recently bought the cherry smash crackle from walgreens and came straight home to figure out how to use it. I've noticed that, you have to start off with a good 2 to 3 coats of your base color, in my case sally hansen hd in in the color hue, which is like a gold color. Let that basecoat completely dry then make sure you shake the crackle really well and apply a thin coat on top the base color swiftly, being sure not to over lap. after a few trial and errors it worked great so make sure you have alot of remover and cotton.

1

i just went to walgreens and bought the vintage violet and tried it with four different colors and i am very disappointed with the results. Not what i thought it was going to be.If anyone has any suggestions let me know please.

5

This product gives a dynamic unique look that has never been seen before!! People stop me and rave about my nails!! I no have light blue with white Crackle and it is beautiful! Can't wait to try the black crackle over deep orange - to give the effect of lava!!!

@jbro1174

Try using a base coat...

My nails suffered stains under the area where the crackle was. Its been 3 weeks and I still have a stain glassed blue green stain on my actual nails. I am unable to leave my nails bare or wear a light color. Extremely frustrating. Has anyone else has this problem? I used Ink Splatter.

can you not PURCHASE this stuff from the website? wheres the purchase icon?!?

I wasn't thrilled with my attempt at using the Cherry Smash color over a blue-black nail polish. the color was very sheer, i would have liked a more opaque red. the weather is super humid here as well, so i basically have to let a day pass between coats of polish

You can get this Crackle at Walgreens and they have opi crackle at Sally's beauty supply

i been looking for this product and can't find it any where

My daughter tried the "Distressed Denim". Took several tries to get the right effect. The trick is covering the nail in one light coat to get the crackle effect. Too many coats or too thick, and it won't "crackle". The blue looked good with a white bottom coat. Make sure your bottom coat of color is TOTALLY dry before you apply the crackle, or it won't work. She is not thrilled with the result, and may try a different color. All of the Rite Aid Stores in our area carry this product.

1

Save your money & time trying to find. I would return if I had the receipt. GROSS.. YUCK

4

I currently have Crackle in Snow Blast and Vintage Violet. I give 5 stars to the application and drying process for Snow Blast (white), but actually only 3 stars to Vintage Violet (purple). Snow Blast worked as planned PERFECTLY the first use and has continued to work with either a thick or thin layer. Vintage Violet came "clumpy" when I opened it the first time and it was/is quite difficult to spread evenly on the nail. I finally made it work by excess shaking of the bottle and keeping the Crackle layer thin, but the consistancy of the polish is still strange.
I am also sad because all the SH local distributors (Fred Meyer, Walgreens, Ulta) have minimal colors due to theivery or sell out (and I went to a bunch of stores). I want Ink Splatter, but multiple stores have told me that the are unable to keep a correct inventory due to constant shoplifitng of this product.
All in all, a great product and good competitive option to what was currently on the market for this type of polish.

This works just as well the OPI shatter that I used in salons. You can use any nail color as a base from any brand. It must be DRY. The crackle must be put on quickly in straight lines. You also need a great super shiny top coat, but you need that with the OPI as well.
If you let the base color dry and have a great clear coat on top you will get very professional results.

SERIOUSLY!!!!???? All u ppl who are complaining that it doesn't work!!!!!!! You cannot let the polish dry out on the brush, you have to dip it quickly, wipe some off the edge and quickly apply one line of crackle to completely dry sally hansen base coat. Cover your entire nail with one straight line doing only one coat. I re-dip my brush every single time, and you can't just leave the top off of the bottle, I end up putting the cap on and shaking it a few times in between. It's really not that hard people, u would think u would want to figure it out so your nails could look this awesome for so cheap!!!!

I want to know how it is that it really does crackle better when you use a Sally Hansen as the undercoat!?!?!!!!! Weird! I was having problems at first and it didn't matter how thick or thin the coat was, buuuut then when I put a emerald green SH shade and then used the Antiqued Gold it looked amazing!!!!<3
I am now addicted to crackle.
I didn't like the price at first, but I fell it is worth$7 now, considering the prices of other similar products and compared to a manicure! I started with the gold then a few days ago my hubby surprised me with the pink-Fuchsia Shock. I just got $1 off coupon online now I'm going to go hunt down the black. They are selling fast, I had to find out when the truck came in to Rite Aid! lol.
The metallic ones are thicker, I noticed with my pink it goes on much smoother than the gold. Make sure your base coat is completely dry and good to go before trying to crackle. You do have to be careful and do the crackle layer quickly becuz it can get gobbed up &&if it's too thick it won't work as well.

I was excited when I saw the commercial for this a few days ago, and I looked in about 2 different stores today to find it. When I finally did, I rushed home to try it out, but when I did, I was extremely disappointed. The overcoat is very thick and tacky, and it looks like your nail polish peeled off when it was dry. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Definitely not worth $7.00, which I made my mom spend for it. Sorry, Mom.

I would LOVE to try it!!

FOR EVERYONE WHO SAID THE CRACKLE DIDN'T WORK:

You absolutely cannot do multiple coats. You have to do one thin coat, and you cannot overlap anywhere. I recommend a big stripe down the middle and small stripes on the edges. If you put too much polish on the brush, then it's also going to be too thick to crackle. It must be a single, thin coat to effectively crackle and show your polish underneath. The polish base must also be completely dry before you put Crackle over.

Don't be disappointed! Try again!

this effect is great. i recommend applying right after you polish your nails in a very dark color and it has dried. i tried aplying over a 2 day old orangey red pedicure and it did not cover properly and i got worried. next time i applied the silver crackle over a deep not quite navy blue and WOW it looks fabulous. it has deep wide cracks that let the blue show thru, really different. i say give it a couple of tries before you give it a bad rating.

i love this stuff if u r having problems this is wht u do do an light coat of the bottom color wait to dry then do another coat of the same btoom color wait to dry.then add the crackle but dont over lap dont put alot on the less u put on the better it works.wipe exess off so its not drippy.wait till crackle is completly dry and for the shiny look add nail hardner or sparkles it guves it a blam trust me.u may have to do it a couple times till u perect it but thus stuff is amzing onece u get to use it right.good lucjk

I love this nail polish i have everyone other than pink and white. and silverline522 i bought mine from Walgreens the one close to 11703 was stocked up with it

I really like this! The black is awesome! The foil is tricky! It can look like just silver globs. These are the only ones i have bought but i really like it so far and have had numerous complements! Just watch how much you put on and make sure you put it on fast!!!

What a disappointment!!!! Went to 2 different stores til I found the Sally Hansen Crackle overcoat . I was so excited to try this product and it was a total let down. Only a few spots on each nail crackled.Just one line here or there. My nails looked horrible. I can't believe I spent $7.50 for that.

i really love Sally Hansen products and so i was really looking forward to buying Crackle. this past week, i've been to 6 stores that carry Sally Hansen but there was no Crackle.

can anyone tell me where they found Crackle?
i wanted to buy one for my sister for her graduation.

I tried crackle for the first time and I loved it! I got so many compliments on my nails. If someone says that it wasnt working it might be they were putting to much on. For me I applied a coat of Insta Dry silver and then the black crackle over top. I am going to do a base coat of a stripe of red,a stripe of white with the blue crackel over top. I will be sure to take a pic. I would also like to share the fact that I am 48yrs old and only one time that I can remember since I was about 13yrs old have I used a product other than Sally Hansen on my nails. I love your products!

I bought a bottle of the crackle today and was anxios to try it. I was disappointed because it hardly crackled at all! :(

I really do not like the bottle of red I got. It looks horrible on my fingernails. I used 2 coats of white and then used red crackle. Not as nice as my toes. I used the white with the blue crackle and it worked and looks nice.

Highly disappointed in Sally's new crackle overcoat. I was excited to see Sally had came out with their on "crackle"/ "splatter" nail product that I couldn't wait to try it on. BIG MISTAKE! These products hardly crackle (I had two different colors "red" and "navy blue") it just looks like you put a bad coat of color on top of another plus it's soooo thick it reminds me of years old nail polish. I WILL be taking both bottles back (they're 7 bucks a pop!) and may be try O.P.I. or China Glaze verion of "crackle". Sally Hansen usually is the best but you can't be the best at everything. Please go with another product when it comes to "crackle" polish you'll be glad you did.

Where can I find Crackle?? I've looked everywhere!

All i have to say is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really loved this product...took a lavender color for base coat. Must dry completely. Applied purple overcoat and it is beautiful! Did a manicure and pedicure and looks great! Looking forward to silver crackle and hot pink base coat!

1

This was so horrible I actually returned it to the store and got my $7 back!!! Its so THICK that it CLUMPS on your nails. Yes, i got the crackle effect but my nails looked TERRIBLE. It looks like 5 year old nail polish that you've had sitting around, There was nothing at all I liked about it. I was REALLLY disappointed!!!

I love this product. I used yellow as a base coat and topped it with the black crackle. Turned out great. I found it best to practice with different thickness to get your desired effect. Always let the base coat dry and top with a good top coat to prevent chipping. Mine has lasted over a week with very little chipping and still looks great. (Note: I practiced on paper but you also need to apply a bottom coat to get it to crackle correctly and figure out the best way to apply it)

LOVE this product! I only use Sally Hansen products on my nails. Great products at a good price. I have tried several other brands of polish & ALWAYS come back to Sally. My nails grow at an amazing rate! They look healthy & beautiful!

1

THE CRACKiN CRACKLE DiD NOT CRAKC!!! does NOT work at ALL!

3

I love my Sally Hansen Crackle. I have it in pink and white. I found that in order for it to really come out nice you need to let whatever color your base is dry for about a day before applying the crackle. I wish they came in better colors though!

5

I LOVE it . I just finished doing mine. The Crackle Nail Polish dries so quick. I Put silver Glitter as the bottom coat and it came out great. I Have the Black Crackle Nail Polish . It was worth my money.

5

i think its really good and a great idea. the reason why it goes clumpy is because when it drys,it drys fast so you need to put it on faster.

1

Sally Hansen does NOT know nails, I was so excited to purchase sally hansens version of crackle for price reasons. I went out of my way (across town) JUST to purchase them. I purchased the silver and the gold. don't let the pictures fool you 1) they are NOT a matte metal finish (they have glitter) and 2) THEY DO NOOOT WORK! i'm so upset i wasted my money time and energy with this purchase. very unsatisfied. DO NOT BUY, DO NOT TRY. I will be going tomorrow to try O.P.I and China Glaze who i heard work VERY well. Check YouTube for reviews and/or try over your nails in the store. I will Be telling everyone i know don't waste your time buying this collection. needs too much work to wait for. Just go to a different brand.

4

i think that the Vintage violet works well enough but as they said, the brush is big and clumpy. It cracks well over white.

2

I was very excited to find Sally Hansen offered a crackle/shatter effect top coat, so I rushed out to my nearest drug store and picked up the white, denim blue, and gold. The gold one didn't really show up at all, on light or dark bases. The white one just looks like crusty white-out. It is very difficult to apply in thin coats because the brush is so tiny and the polish dries up so quickly. I tried several times, experimenting with different variables, but was just not crazy about the final look. I don't think they look quite as nice as the advertisements do. Even with a super shiny top coat, they still seem really dull and lumpy.

Maybe this messy look just isn't my style. I'm still a Sally Hansen fan (especially the Insta-Dry polishes!) but I think I'll be returning these. $8 each is a lot to spend on a product you don't like.

1

this stuff sucks i recomened the opi black shatter coat it dries really fast and you could put it over any nail polish you want and it will shatter over your preffered nail polish they also have the katy perry cpllectio which is the nail polish and the shatter nail polish is mixed in so it already shatters by itself i was dissapointed with this produt DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT BY OPI SHATTER COAT IN BLACK !

3

I agree with the other posters that say the brush isn't big enough on this product. I have to re-do my nail 2 or 3 times to get it to look how I want, it's a waste of polish. Nice try SH, improve the brush and you'll have a great product.

où peut-on l'acheter ? Where can we buy it ?

3

I work as a beauty advisor at walgreens, so i got to try these right when they came out. Bottom line is: it works but not as well as the shatter version by OPI. I tried every color in these and I figured out that you can't put a thick coat of the crackle on, or else it won't start to crack. In order for it to work you just need one swipe and a thin coat. The darker colors are not so forgiving and look a little messy since they do not crack consistently. The concept is good, but I think SH could have executed these better. The consistency of this polish is too thick and it clumps easily so you REALLLY have to shake it a lot before putting it on. Also the brush is the same as their cheap nailpolishes. I wish they used the same applicator brush as the INSTA DRY or the COMPLETE SALON MANICURE brushes. Those brushes are wider and you can cover the nail with one swipe, the thin brush on the crackle polishes gets annoying. Overall it works, if you have patience.

Love Love LOVE this stuff! I have all of them and they all work! I couldn't be happier. I get complements wherever I go. :) I feel like such a celeb.

3

I bought the violet one from walgreens and also got the extreme wear silver color to use with it. i painted my thumb silver then applied the the crackle. it didnt seem to crackle, but after i but the lid back on the bottle i looked back and it looked awesome!!! it was all crackled it was so cool!! but when i tried to do my other fingers, i didnt crackle. at all. help i dont know how to make it crackle again!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 5 of the 8 colors of the crackle nail polish and so far all have worked perfectly fine. I did find out that you do not have to use a SallyHansen nail polish for the bottom color. I used a cheap cvs brand color that I got during a Christmas sale this passed year and it worked perfectly well. I found it best if you put double layer for the bottom color because it does seem to come off slightly and sometimes only one layer will leave no color. Also putting a top coat on after putting the crackle nail polish makes it have more of a shine and makes it look a lot better than just leaving it as is. I also found that a light layer of the crackle nail polish seems to not show up quite as well as a think layer if it shows up at all. To me it seemed like the light layer I did just blended in with the bottom color.

2

I purchased both the Snow Blast and Ink Splatter crackle nail polish. The Ink Splatter worked great and was very easy to apply. However, when I used the Snow Blast color, it just clumped up and left a messy/dusty texture on my nails. With the Snow Blast, there was no crackling whatsoever. Being that the Ink Splatter worked fine, I sum up this misfortune to a 'bad batch'. Unfortunately, I am out $7 for polish that does not work. I am just not willing to spend more money on a product that MIGHT work.

I would suggest a more reliable brand for the crackle coat look (OPI Shatter or China Glaze)!

where did u ppl get your crackle polish???

Crazy4Fashion17's picture
3

I bought the Snow Blast color and put it over SallyHansen Hi-Definition nail color in Pixel Pretty!!! So far so good!!!! But the only thing tht i dont like is that u have to use a SallyHansen nail color in order for it to crackle!!! The only reason i dont like this is bcuz i have a lot of different brands of nail polish, and now i have to buy colors that i already have but in SallyHansen brand!!! But i still love!!! this product!!! : ))

2

I bought the Fuschia shock. The first time I wore it, I paired it with SH Extreme silver and loved. After the first use I noticed that the polish was clumpy and thick. I'm not too happy with the product.

I gave in and bought the gold, couldn't resist! <3<3<3 So much fun. I'm hoping for coupons and sales so I can get all the other colors.

I love the new crackle coat! Previously, I had used OPI Shatter (at $8 a bottle) and really didn't care for the effect. I just purchased the Sally Hansen on sale at CVS for $4.99. This "crackle" went on smoothly, and crackled beautifully. I used Xtreme Wear as a base - each nail painted half Sun Kissed and half Twisted Pink and topped it with the Antiqued Gold Crackle. It looks just like a salon manicure - at a fraction of the price.

I would love to try this but can't believe it's priced at $6.99!!! Too Much!

I checked CVS drug store every day for a week until I found the Antiqued Gold Crackle Overcoat. There were only 4 bottles on the display (which they had JUST received) and I purchased 2 of them. I LOVE it! I did my fingernails and toenails with 2 coats of OPI Melon of Troy topped with Sally Hansen gold overcoat and it's sooooo beautiful! I'll be wearing gold overcoat on ALL of my manicures until I run out. Also, I love the new hand cream which is supposed to make your hands look younger. My skin has never looked better. I love Sally Hansen products. Great job Sally Hansen!!!

How long does it take for the crackle effect to happen?

4

So far I've been having lots of fun with all the color combos! It took a couple of tries to get the right amount of crackle on so it would look nice. Defin need to use the top coat to make it look nice and so it doesn't chip too fast. Can't wait to try more combos!

How much does this nail polish cost? I really want to get it, since my friend Charity luvs it and says it's wayyyyy better than the OPI one she purchased. I usually just go to the beauty section whenever I'm stopping to shop for some late-night groceries @ Target since my Raley's and Whole Foods are usually closed. Plz respond since my other friend, Ari, is having a pool party this June 3rd and I want to wear it to make a statement. My bikini is yellowish-blackish. What colour should I get???

5

I had been looking for OPI for ages and it was always sold out. I stumbled upon this at a Walgreens and I purchased black 'ink splatter' though they had many other colors (some sold out already!) I read complaints about the nail brush and it not shattering. Yes the brush was a little small but with a thin layer, it crackled amazingly well! I am so impressed and I really didn't think it was overpriced for what it was. I will definitely go buy the other colors

I had originally bought the OPI Katy Perry Black Shatter online for $14and was very disappointed with the results of it, the shatter took me multiple tries in order for it to shatter, I went to Rite Aid and saw the display for Sally Hansen Crackle and decided to try it, it looked really nice on the display example and I got two for the price of one OPI polish, I purchased Snow Blast and Fractured Foil, I went home and immediately tried them out and absolutely loved them!!! I would recommend the Sally Hansen Crackle over the OPI Shatter any day.

NiNi try sallybeauty.com. I got 3 of mine on there, and got lucky and got the others at the store. I just got a bottle of gold tonight. Really wanting the silver, and I am done....or so I say.

I have been using China Glaze Crackle for awhile now, but it is difficult to find. I just found Sally Hansen's Crackle today @ Walmart, and I am so dissapointed. It does not have anywhere near the same effect as the China Glaze brand. It doesn't really "crack" at all. I think I will go back to my search for more China Glaze colors.

5

I went to Walgreens and they were up front in the beauty section. I got the white and love it! It goes with everythingand I put a new color on every night. I get soooo... many compliments and love it. It dries quickly and has an easy application. It is a bit difficult to take off with nail polish remover although. But overall its a great product I would reccomend to a friend! :)

When will these be released beside being on e-Bay?

wheredo i get this from and how much is it?
