Application Tips

Do not apply to bare nail. Apply base coat or polish before use. Allow polish to dry completely. Shake well with cap on. Remove cap. Push pen tip on hard surface to dispense color. Apply nail art design to nail. Allow to dry. Seal nail with top coat when your design is complete. Protect work surface while using this product.

Not impressed either, I just spent a fortune buying a few different colours for Christmas presents. Seemed watery, and didn't adhere to the polish very well, but got a smooth flow out eventually and drew some awesome designs due to the precision tip. Waited a few minutes, put a top coat on - the design was wiped off. Redid the nail, waited half an hour, top coated - wiped the design off again. Redid it a third time, let dry overnight, got in the shower and it smudged and removed most of the design under water. Really unhappy, I think I'm most annoyed because I paid extra thinking I was buying good quality polish, there is no complaints department on here either. What a let down.

i absolutely love these, i have 7 of the 11 colors.. for those who don't think they work well.. it works great if you get a piece of paper and press down first to get it to come out and don't press it down anymore while drawing on your nails.. pressing down once on a piece of paper will last 2 or 3 nails. LOVE LOVE LOVE nail pens!

I really like these pens. It is easy to take off if you make a mistake. If you put on at least one layer of topcoat, your design will last a week. I really like the ease of use.

Very disappointed with this product. Ink was runny and difficult to control. I ended up having black ink on the sides of my nails, which was difficult to remove even with nail polish remover. No where near 'precise lines' as advertised. You'd be more satisfied with regular nail polish and sticky tape to do designs. Overall would not recommend anyone to get it.

Hi I just bought the white and I thought I was going to be in love with it to do my own french manicures! But it comes off really easy and it cracks as it dries :( I followed all the directions, I was just dissapointed. It was about as good as using white out.

I absolutely love these pens, I've been using them since they first came out. For all of u questioning why it comes off, the is actually one of the best features about the pen, it can wipe of without taking your polish off in order to fix your design, when your done u just seal it with topcoat, and it stays! My only issue is with just one of my pens, it is sometimes difficult to get ink out without spillage, but I'm always able to make it work, I just cap it, shake it, then depress the pen tip on paper a few times and voila usable! I hope the helps everyone out, I love them!

Crazy4Fashion17, i know what you mean.. i bought like 5 of them bt two of them(gold n red), are just like what you said. The ink was running everywhere..totally ruined my french manicure. I'm equally disappointed as well. Is there anyway we could get a replacement or something?

My latest on the nail art pen. so i came home and decided to retry and do my nails again. i thought i had nothing to loose. i was pretty surprised. i redid it and they came out pretty good. so i guess it was just a first time thing with my mishap. anyway it is getting better!!!!! Hopefully it will stay that way!!!!!!

I first bought this product and was extremly excited to use it. i went home that night and i was very impressed by how it worked. it was so convienient and it was very neat. i used it to do a french manicure. my mother thought it worked very well and could not believe the results. That night it all seemed to come off magically. i went to bed and woke up the next morning and almost all the nail color was completly gone. so i reapplied thinking it would stay on. but as i pushed down the pen a couple times i realized it was going everywhere. when i applied the pen to my nails, again i was doing a french manicure, the color was not coming out the same color it was before. and the color just faded away. i am very disappointed with this product. i dont know what is wrong with it. maybe it was the color or i wasnt shaking it very well. but if anyone has expirenced this pleaase let me know what u thought or what u think it might b. i was really looking foward to using this product, but now i am very disappointed.!!!!!!!!

I LOVE theese, ive bought a ton of them! Theyre great to do cool designs on my nails, but it seems that the newest ones i have dont work very well. when i press the pen down the liquid goes everywhere! ive learnt how to utilise the puddle to do the same designs i could do with my older ones and im perfectly happy

i love this stuff i use them all the time to do my nails. it was hard for me at first to use but i got the hang of it. just remember to shake it well when you take it out of the box. then on cardboard or a piece of paper press the tip down about 3 or 4 times. it should work just fine for you. i just use them to do the tips of my nails then i put a clear coat of the sally hansen hard as wrap over that just make sure to the color is completely dry before putting the clear coat on.

I bought the silver nail art pen and it looked as if I had used a sharpie marker on my nails. The product was very disappointing, it dried too fast and when i would apply more it didn't apply evenly.

@Amelia82 Under "Application Tips", it clearly states "Shake well with cap on". Maybe that's what you did wrong?

I bought 2 white pens, a hot pink, a red, a purple. a bright blue, and a blue! After the first time i used them they no longer work cuz when u shake them the ink flies out everywhere & due to the leakage i can no longer use them! So now I'm out of the money, and disappointed in the product!

This product is AWESOME! I got it about a month ago for $9 at Target, and I still use it. I personally am bad at drawing patterns, so a solid colour is great. All my friends are awed when they see perfect nails. It's easy to do at home, and as I've said a million times, I LOVE THIS! I have a large Caboodle case for only my nail stuff and it's def a staple.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! So very easy to use and looks beautiful! Bought it in white yesterday and already designed a cute animal print on my pink nails. Going to buy it in black too, so I can perfect the shapes. Love it! Love it! Loveit! I highly recommend it to everyone.

I bought the purple one hoping to do a french manicure but the purple ended up looking like a crackled easter egg with the purple and a perwinkle color. Really bad for $9.00. I usually love sally hansen so this was a total disappointment. I emailed about my disatisfaction but no response.

i was not impressed with this product either. i did exactly what it said and a few hrs. later washed my hands and it came off and when i shook the pen it all went inside the cap and all over the pen so it was all over my fingers i actually returned it to the Drug Store , you can find these at any drug store for apprx. 9 to 10$ but i would not bother buying it....

These are great! Besides the slight chipping although you use the clear nail polish afterwards, they're perfect. I use them to create designs and the size of the brush is perfect. H-E-B has them for about $10, but Walgreens has them for $8, $7 if you use the $1 off coupon they have for all Sally Hansen products!
Although I do find them easier to use if you paint the nail(s) you're going to use the pen on one day and then use the nail art pen the next. Using a clear coat afterwards makes it less likely to chip off also.

I wasn't impressed with these at all. I planned on doing a reverse french manicure with them and once i had the first colour ( Waltz by Essie) on and dried, I went to use the pen to put black at the bottom of my nail. I put it on but it was runny so i ended up with some spots with less polish than others and when it dried, some spots were cracked. I wasn't impressed at all. The pens are nothing like they are advertized. not worth the 9.00$ i spent on it.
