Miracle Gel™ Duo Pack

I think this product is ok it didn't last 2 weeks before chipping as stated but with a busy lifestyle I wouldn't expect it to. Coverage was pretty good with only 2 coats.

Colour is amazing. Really good coverage after 2 coats. Be careful as it is a thick liquid. Remember to wipe off the excess polish. Also, I found this takes a while to dry so leave plenty of time before picking up stuff. Nothing worse than smudge nails.

Such a gorgeous colour!!! This is a true baby pink shade perfect for a spring look, the top coat gives a really shiny finish and has stayed chip free so far so good

Okay two fays have passed not a single chip my nails are still vibrant and glossy, I work in a jewellers so I use my hands a lot with doing repairs and showing customers jewellery ect. And usually my nail varnish chips on the first day. But with this sally hansen duo kit its fantastic. I applied the first coat of varnish which is the pink,my only criticism you have to apply at least 2/3 coats of colour to get an even no streaky look. Which is a bit of a pain. And I let my nails dry completely (15mins) Then added the top coat which went on like a dream again another 10mins for the gel top coat to dry. Very impressed with this duo no lamp needed to set the gel coat,nice sized varnish bottles which will last a good while the vanish brush is perfect large but flat so you can coat your nails with out varnish going every where. I need off the mother colours in the range now.

I believe this nail polish is an wonderful and easy nail polish. You do not need to go into an nail salon to get your nails done. This is cheap and quick. I love the colour as it is an summer vibe colour, however, the colour did come out streaks and I was really unhappy when I had to do up to 4 coats just so it does not show. However, the colour is amazing and the top coat does give an small amount of gel looking nails, not has much as in the salon but the top coat makes sure that your nails do not chip which is did, after 7 days still going strong. I love tis colour and band however, if I did but it again,, I would buy a darker colour instead.

I tried the sally Hansen miracle gel duo in red eye. The colour is a gorgeous pillar box red that's not too in your face. When I first opened the bottle I noticed the brush is really large and is a wide flat brush. This made the application super easy the brush holds a lot of product and glides on easily. I nearly covered the whole nail in one swipe. The coloured went on smoothly and didn't streak at all. The box recommends 2 coats of colour which I did but I think you could easily get away with one coat. Lastly I added the top coat which again has the large flat brush and this glides on just as easily as the colour. The lasting finish was super shiny and smooth, it really looks like I have had my nails done professionally. My only downside is I found it took a long time to dry so next time I think I would use less product to see if it dries quicker.

I was so excited to receive this nail polish duo! I love gel nails however being able to achieve that finish at home is even better! The instructions say to apply 2 coats of colour and then a coat of the gel top coat. After 2 coats of the colour the polish was still patchy. I applied a 3rd coat of colour which took ages to dry and still looked a bit patchy. The top coat went on fine but because of the 3 coats took so long to dry that it ended up smudging running the smooth finish. I tried again another day with 2 coats of colour, and while yes it took less drying time it was patchy and not smooth. However I did try the top coat with another nail varnish and it was brilliant. My nails looked like professional gel nails! They didn't last 14 days without chipping but did last a good 7 which for me is fine I want to change the colour after that long anyway. I would definitely recommend the top coat, but not the nail colour. The formula was fine I think it was just the colour. Maybe a different colour would have been better.

Being qualified to do nails, I use a few professional brands, this brand I hadn't tried before and not one I would normally have on my list but thought id give it ago. it looked nice when it had just been done, a couple of days it wasn't looking dull and started to chip. I would definitely recommend it for a night out/wedding/event etc because it will look nice on the day

I really enjoyed trying this product as it was as easy to use as 'normal' nail polish without the faff of needing UV lamps. The pro's of the product: Fast drying, easy to use with a good finish and it seems to last (2 days in so far without chips). However the cons: I'm not sure if it is the colour I picked which is a nude colour, however I found the coverage to be really uneven so it does not look professional.

I have always been a big fan of Sally Hansen nail products. They are amazing quality and have a working class price point! I used the polish on my toes and he went in like a dream. 2 light coats did the job and they dried super quick. The gell top coat adds a real professional looking touch and seals the colour and shine in! All was really great; day 4 and no chipping and my nails looked lovely. I popped the polish in my overnight back and when I got to my location the pink polish had smashed, the neck of the bottle had shattered and covered most of my belongings in it! Absolute nightmare. Not sure why this happened, never experienced anything like it before. That's why I have taken 1 star if what I would have originally rated it!

Im reviewing the "birthday suit" miracle gel duo nail varnish. The directions for applying the nail varnish and the miracle gel were nice and straightforward: 2 coats of the nail varnish followed by 1 coat of the miracle gel. It didn't take long to apply the nail varnish but it was still 3 coats of drying time which wasn't super speedy. The nail varnish was thinner than I was expecting so I ended up applying a bit too much nail varnish at first. Because of this, my first couple of nails were quite messy, although it was fine once I'd gotten used to the consistency of the nail varnish. You definitely needed two coats of the nail varnish, and there were still some imperfections. Although I've often found this a problem with lighter coloured nail varnishes so another colour may not have given me the same problems. The top coat definitely improved the look of the nail varnish, and I guess it looks slightly gel-like. However it was by no means a "miracle" transformation, and I don't think it really did anything that different from another top coat nail varnish. On the plus side, I've had it on all day and it hasn't chipped. Only time will tell if it lasts the supposed 14 days. In summary: Would I use the nail varnish again? Probably yes Would I purchase another bottle of the nail varnish? Probably not

When i first recieved my parcel i couldnt believe how professional the nail kit looked! It looked really smart and it promised up to 14 days wear. I regularly use gel nail polishes that last roughly 7 days so i was so happy this would last longer. I applied the nail polish as recommended on the box and the finish was amazing! It looked as if i had my nails done at the salon. Very high quality finish with a great shine. Not even 24hours later i noticed the first chip. Then another nail. Then another. By day 5 all my nails had chips and i had to removed the polish as it looked awful. Overall- packaging and finish for first 24 hours great! Not for long time wearing, would perhaps use for the day of party.

When I received this I was excited to give it a go. As a beauty therapist I'm always using salon gel polishes, so to have something I didn't have to spend 30 minutes doing and having to get out the lamp, base, top coat, colour and wipes sounded appealing. Application * I found the colour a little uneven and you are unable to work the product on the nail. Single stroke application is best. Maybe 3 coats would result in a more even colour. * Takes a while to dry thoroughly, but much faster than traditional polish. About 3 minutes between each colour coat and 30 minutes on the top coat. * Top coat goes on smoothly and is very shiny. Wear * The colour looked patchy, again 3 coats maybe needed with this colour. * I found after less than 1 day there were cracks/ lines on all my finger nails. Although my toes were more like a week. * You can see slight wear/ shrinking on the ends after less than 2 days. Overall * Yes i would buy this again in other colours, mainly for my toes. But also for my finger for a night out as it's easy to apply and dries nicely if you have the time! I would not use it for a weeks holiday, will be sticking to the professional salon nails! * Good for when I can't be bothered with salon gel nails! * Lovely colour and lots to choose from making it very appealing for toes!

The nail polish comes in 2 bottles- one base coat and one top coat. It claims to give 14 days of lasting colour and shine. I applied the colour coat which went on easily, the brushed in the bottle are quite large and square shaped so it glides on easily and only needs one brush stroke to apply to the nail. Maybe I expected too much but it took ages to dry fully-approx 20 minutes. Once dry I applied the top coat. Taking a further 20minutes to dry. It looked lovely initially but did not last more than a day without scuffing and chipping and not the 14 days as expected. Slightly disappointed with this product, it is not one I will be using again sadly

The packaging for this product is good and the bottles are a nice shape and easy to hold. The application of the nail polish is easy and the shape of thebm brushes are nice which helps with the application. The red colour is fab and the top coat adds to a nice finish.. however the polish did chip after 3 days which is disappointing and would be an amazing product if lasted 14 days as stated on the box All instructions were followed so improvements are needed.

I was really excited to try this product . I loved the colour very bright and vibrant. I painted the 2 coats on and had to put a fan on to try and dry the nail polish quicker. Once dried I put the top coat on and I was really pleased with the the thick finish. I felt that it was long lasting for the first few days and my nails felt stronger but by the end of week one it has badly chipped. I've had to remove it and start again. I would buy this again but I wouldn't expect it to last two weeks like it says it will!

So, i'm a bit of a nail fiend. I change my polish regularly, am a dab hand at french manicures and like to see what products i can get my talons on to get a salon quality manicure at home. I was really excited to be chosen to review the Sally Hansen gel nails product. I chose a hot pink colour and it arrived as 2 bottles - the colour and a gel top coat. I prepared by removing my french manicure, filed my nails and trimmed my cuticles a bit... i then went to apply my base coat - only to find the advice is not to apply one! Eek. I felt wary about no base coat...I really don't like stained nails! But i thought in the spirit of reviewing i should follow the recommendation. I applied the 1st coat. I did it thin as recommended. The brush was a delight to work with - it's a really wide, flat brush so with a little patience i could cover my whole nail in 2 strokes. The instructions were to do 2 base coats so i did the 2nd coat applying it thinly again as advised. And this is where some doubts set in. Despite having 2 coats my nails were looking a bit patchy and somewhat translucent. I really would have preferred a 3rd coat however the advice was 2 - so i stuck with 2! It dried quickly and then  i applied the gel coat thinly..... I was so disappointed! I had patchy colour with clear varnish on top. I could have got the same effect with a cheap nail polish and a clear nail polish. It was certainly not anything like the thick glossy polish i have had when i've paid for professional gel nails. I went to bed a bit upset with my less than remarkable nails and woke up the next morning....with a great big chip in one! I did some light housework the next day and washing up (albeit with washing up gloves) and by the end of the day my nails were peeling and looking battered. Picked all of the polish off (naughty i know) and decided to start again. Having been less than impressed the day previous this time i decided to throw the rule book out and i applied my 1st coat thickly. Really thickly. I liked the look immediately so repeated lathering it on thick till i had 3 gloriouslusly glossy and smooth hot pink polish coats. I then applied a thick, gloopy coat of the gel. It looked wonderful! Plastic and glossy - very much like salon nails. I probably then over did it by adding a 2nd gel coating as air bubbles appeared and it started to look a bit like dried pva glue. Oops! Live and learn. So finally i felt the product had delivered the much anticipated gel nails effect I had obvioulsy hit a 'master stroke' with liberally applying the polish as it looked so much better and lasted way longer than applying it thinly had. In fact all in all it lasted me 6 days with minor chips that were easy to touch up. So all in all - plaster this on and you'll get a nice glossy polish! But if you're going for thin coats - apply more than recommended. I don't think the base colour is that amazing as i found the polish thin but i liked the clear gel so would consider purchasing in future.

Wow what can I day. The colour saw beautiful and went on fantastic, looked brilliant on first day had lots of compliment about how lovely my nails looked. The day after it was chipping away I thought it would of lasted better than it did it

After trying Sally Hansen Miracle Gel I'm a bit disappointed. I had high expectations as the product was Sally Hansen. The colour gel went on smoothly and with ease, with the top coat being similar. Both gels became dry to touch quickly however, they smudged easily (on more than one occasion). The colour was lovely shade and vibrant, I have worn glossier top coats but still had a nice shine to it. The gel lasts 4 days before the colour wore off the ends of my nails. The gel came of a lot easier than others with remover.

First impressions of this product are good. It's a nice colour and goes on easily although it did need 3 coats. The shine is nice. They took a little while to dry and I did smudge one. The wear didn't last as well as I thought it was going to. I did have chipping before the 2 weeks like it says on the packaging so a little disappointed in that. Also removing the polish was a nightmare! It took ages to get off. Overall a nice product but I'm not sure it's a miracle.

The top coat is pretty good. So I would probably buy that again. However I wasn't taken with the colour or how long it took for my nails to dry. I'd definitely go for a different colour next time.

Loved the colours and the vibrancy but tool quite a long time to try. With a toddler this smudged But when I done my toes and had more time it's much better. Lasted 8 days too even better that I swim everyday and lasted through that too.

The colour doesnt apply very well. I think this is down to the brush. Need to apply more than 2 coats as instructed to avoid streaks. The gel was the best bit i would use this on other colour nail vanish as well, although it takes ages to dry. Not good if you cant sit still like me. Overall a good product just not for me!

Did it on a Sunday and lasted till Friday!!! They all say 2 weeks but nevered had one last anylonger!!! Considering it's more expensive than the others I expected it to last a bit longer but love the colour!!!

Takes ages to dry. Need plenty of time to wait till colour dries before applying top coat. If don't wait long enough it goes lumpy and have to take it off and start again. Lovely colour

This 2 step system was easy to apply and both the colour and gel top coat went on smoothly and left a shiny finish very similar to when I've had gel manicures in the past. Loved the hot pink colour. Found that having to wait between the 2 coats of colour and the gel topcoat for drying meant that this certainly wasn't as quick and convenient as having a professional gel manicure done. I had the polish on my fingers nails for about 6 days before it started to chip a little. I was keen to remove the colour to see if it would work with normal nail varnish remover and it did! I was a bit apprehensive about applying such a bright colour without a basecoat but this product didn't stain my nails. So whilst the product didn't live up to its 14 day claim I did like the finish and it did last longer than normal nail varnish would do for me (normally 3-4 days). The colour on my toe nails is still going strong after 8 days.
