HOW TO APPLY

Microwave full jar of wax for 45 seconds and wait to cool before removing.

Use wooden spatula to spread on wax.

Apply the cloth strip in the direction of hair growth.
4
Hold skin taut with one hand and use the other hand to pull off strip.
5
After hair removal, use an Azulene Oil Finishing Wipe to remove wax residue.

It’s a decent wax strip but I didn’t feel like it was pulling my hair enough for me. I’m not wax girly so I don’t if I was doing it right but long story short I’m gonna stick to shaving

I have never been a fan of waxing myself because of how messy it is and I wanted to love this but unfortunately it didn't work for me. It was not too painful and it did pull out some hair but I feel like the time it would have taken I would rather just go and get it done professionally or use a good ol razor. I expected it to be traditional wax and I really liked the blue color and scent. It was also pretty easy to remove. I don't know if it was a user error but I felt like it was pretty messy and I had to do more than one pass and still had some hair in the areas that I tried. If you are used to waxing I would definitely say give it a go

The wax kit has everything you need and it’s easy to use in a microwave. Very, very sticky however and hard to clean if gets on your hands or surface. Effectively works if your hair is trimmed. Painful if the hair is longer.

I absolutely love the convenience of being able to wax at home, however I do wish this system was a little more improved. I will start by saying the wax DOES work, but I wish there was a more efficient way to use it. I hate that you have to heat up the entire jar to use, instead of just heating up what you need. Also, they only give you 4 wipes to clean up the wax reside afterwards. I wish it came with like a bottle of the oil instead of wipes. But for the price, I think it is a very worthy system.

The kit includes all the things you need. The residue wipes worked well. I tried to wax my underarm and it was not as successful as I wished. It only removed about half of the wax and hair. I will try on my legs soon to see if i get better results. The plus is that it was easy to prepare and the removal did not hurt or irritate.

Hair to be removed should be at least 1/4" long for maximum product effectiveness, and skin must be dry and free of oil and water. Always check the hair’s growth pattern before applying the strip. Failure to remove hair usually indicates that you’ve pressed on in the wrong direction or pulled the strip off too slowly. For best results, wait at least 21 days before using on areas you’ve shaved or treated with cream removers.

Maybe it was user error, but it wasn’t “quick and easy” like the packaging says. For starters the smell wasn’t great. The wax was very runny but when i waited too long it got tacky. The strip didn’t come off clean and didn’t get all the hair.

Smell is a bit unpleasant for me.
This was kit had everything you would need for waxing (minus the skilled professional).
Super easy to use and apply.
Unfortunately, it didn't work too well for me.
I used this wax to remove my underarm/pit hair. I will let those babies grow for months in between shaving them lol. I had to go over twice (yes, I know you're not supposed to do that) and there were still a few hairs left behind.
I tried using it on my leg. Holy crap! That is not for me! One strip and it hurt worst than my pits, it literally pulled out 1/4- 1/2 the hairs in that area. Nope, nope and no thank you.

This is my first time using any kind of at home wax. Wax heated up in 45 seconds, but never got to wax consistency that I was expecting it was more of a non scented clay texture. I tested a patch on my arm and it got a little bit of arm hair off. I will still use it on my body.

This product was ok to use, it’s very sticky. Doesn’t really pull all the hairs. There really wasn’t a smell to it. I wouldn’t use this again as it was not my favorite product to use.

I really wanted to love this Sally Hansen Wax for full body, but I just couldn’t. The wax did not work, hurt more, and left a sticky residue . The wipes do not help and were kind of dry. I just did not like this product and would not recommend it.

My Battle with Sticky Situations

Getting ready to use the wax is straightforward. You simply heat it in the microwave, stir it, and let it cool slightly. However, applying a thin layer of wax with the wooden spatula can be challenging for beginners. The instructions recommend a thin layer, but controlling the amount with the spatula is tricky. If you scoop too much, it's hard to put it back cuz it’s such a mess of dripping wax everywhere lol
The wax is more effective on smoother areas like legs and arms. I tried it on my underarms, raised my arm as instructed, but it didn't remove much hair and was quite painful. My underarms turned noticeably red.
I found the self-application process difficult because it's hard to control the amount with the wooden spatula. Maybe a wax product that dispenses like a roll-on? It would be much cleaner, easier to control the amount, and prevent wax from dripping everywhere.

The kit has everything you need so it’s very convenient for someone just trying waxing at home for the first time. There is a learning curve and you have to overcome the fear of the pain when you’re the one waxing yourself. The downside is I don’t know how safe it is to be microwaving the wax each time I use it.

The suggested heating time range is a Guide and is based on a 1000-watt microwave oven. Individual microwaves may vary. When reheating, heat wax for a minimum time first. Repeat at shorter intervals as needed until the wax is warm and has a thick consistency like honey or caramel.

Sally Hansen wax for body is a home kit that comes with everything you'll need. It comes with a scent free microwave wax, 4 wood spatulas, 20 cloth strips, and 4 oil finishing wipes. The wax heats up easily in the microwave, and then you use the spatula to spread the wax on your legs, armpit, or other body part. The wax was very sticky, and I had to use the cloth strips several times in the same place to remove all the wax. The oil finishing wipes were very effective in removing any remaining wax left on my skin, I only wish the kit contained more wipes than just 4. Overall, the wax starter kit was ok. It works if you ever need to wax at home.

A bit difficult to use and does not remove hair completely. When you apply the paper and peel it off, it leaves a wet patch of wax on the skin. Sometimes you will have to run paper over the area to remove the wax. The wooden stick is short so it is a bit difficult to get the wax.

This was my first time trying a wax kit. I love how it comes with the wooden spatulas and the finishing wipes. My skin tends to get sensitive so it was red after trying it on but I feel like it does the job.

I received this for free in exchange for my honest review. I’d like to start off that even though I have done other forms of waxing, this was my second least favorite because of how messy it can be. Prior to this I was using wax beads, and I used to do sugar waxing. It was my first time using a wax where I have to use a cloth to remove it, very unfortunate since I ran out of cloths before I ran out of wax. One thing I did like is that I forgot to hold my leg with one hand until I was done waxing, but thankfully it didn’t do anything bad to my skin… doing that with sugar wax is the worst thing since it gives you bruises all over your legs, I was expecting to look like that tbh. Apart from that, by messy, I mean the wax goes all over the wall of the jar, so it was difficult not to get it so high up the stick which then got on my fingers which was very uncomfortably sticky. All in all, I probably wouldn’t use this again.

Carefully put the spatula into the wax and gently stir from bottom to top. When removing the spatula with the wax rotate the spatula to prevent wax from running or dripping.

Be careful with the amount of wax you use because I used a little too much my first try and nearly ripped my skin off, bruises even appeared the next day. If using the right amount then the wax works pretty well, you’ll just need to go over the same spot a couple of times.

This product is effective and does what it is supposed to. Comes with everything needed for a successful wax session. Great for starters.
The wax is unscented which may be a plus for some. The azulene wipes were a bit dry but that could be just bad luck this time.
Cons: Since this is a microwaveable wax, it is not convenient since I always wax in my bathroom and if waxing a large area, you may need to rewarm the wax. That means leaving the bathroom with sticky skin (think about waxing the bikini area…) to use the microwave and then go back to your waxing room.
That is the only downside of this product. Besides that, it does deliver, in my case with no irritation or any other negative reaction.

Good product for a quick Wax job at home in between wax appointments. I like that it is so easy to use and that it has clear and simple instructions. Microwave it and use a spatula and pull hair in opposite direction with a strip. Has no scent, not something I would purchase, but was nice to try! Value is ok but product is meh.

Spend Your Money On Something Else

I just bought this a few days ago, but hadn’t looked at reviews for it before. I suggest people research it before buying. First time using it, as I usually use a sugar wax kit (which this doesn’t even say what kind of wax) but the store ran out of my go to. This looks like cement, or silly putty. Smells like factory chemicals. It’s sticky and messy, and the mess is hard to clean up, even with their wipes. No wonder the instructions say not to keep the strips, cuz it’s near impossible to remove the wax. Another reason to go with sugar wax, as you can clean it easily and save the strips for future use. Even though the instructions say to wipe off the stick applicator and save for future use, I don’t know if I will. The stick still has some wax on it, and soap and water won’t clean it off. I spent half the time it took me to wax both my legs, trying to get this wax off of me afterwards. Even the wipes were breaking apart, while the wax still stuck to my skin. The wipe fibers were even sticking to my skin! If you’re already stuck with this product, I would suggest using the strips to take out whatever wax on you as soon as you notice it. Don’t rely on the wipes. God help you if you have any remaining on you when you’re done waxing.

Not a fan.

I have used Sally Hansen wax for years, so imagine my sadness when the one wax that worked well on my skin stopped showing up on store shelves. I tried this new formula several times, and I do not like it at all. I'm not a fan of the smell, how it leaks through the strips, or how it doesn't actually pull all the hair up. The worst part is that it hurts my skin so now I'm on the hunt for a new at-home wax, which means months of irritation and rashes.

Complete disappointment

I’ve used the full body wax formula for over 10 years and swore by it. The new formula is awful, it doesn’t work well leaves hair in place and you covered in wax. The only good thing is the azulene oil wipes, they effectively remove all of the wax leftover on the skin and are soothing. It used to be an Incredible value for the price, I would have even paid more for the same old formula. But the new formula isn’t worth the $10 price tag. What a disappointment and unnecessary change.

Not enough Azulene oil wipes

Why would only come with four azulene oil wipes? Do you expect me to only use this big jar of wax four times?! Please go back to the small bottle.., you can’t get the wax off without the oil.

I really wanted to love this but it was just awful. Besides the wax being excessively sticky and difficult to remove, it irritated my skin so badly. In part I should have started on a less sensitive area, but because I’m not new to this method I decided to use this on my underarms and it was a mistake I will not make again. It irritated them so bad I got burns from it (and no the wax was not hot enough to burn my skin). Thankfully I have oil of my own that I use for my own waxing sessions and it helped ease the pain, but I will definitely not recommend this for sensitive skin. It might work for other areas like your legs and arms, but I would heed caution if you plan on using it anywhere else. Simplicity of use is there, but the product itself is a hard pass.

I wouldn't recommend. The wax is so hard to take off and even though it came with an oil that helps with that, it didn't work out. The wax is so terrible that DIDN'T REMOVE MY BODY HAIR!!!! It hurt so badly and my skin ended irritated. It is definitely not worth the shot.
